Case study: Titanic Hotel Liverpool

The Titanic Hotel is a multi-million pound hotel development on Stanley Dock, Liverpool, which opened in June 2014.  Comprising of 153 luxury bedrooms, a bar, restaurant, spa and function room, the 1855 Grade II-listed building had previously served as a tobacco and rum warehouse until becoming derelict.

Clearground has worked closely with The Titanic over the last 15 months and has built a strong working relationship with the iconic Liverpool hotel.

We provide the 160-year-old building with window cleaning services both internally and externally. The dockside windows are cleaned on a weekly basis, due to neighbouring developments, via abseiling elevated cleaning. Bi-monthly cleaning is undertaken on all remaining windows.Spa_8

Further to this, the kitchen fan and extraction system in all of the four kitchens are deep cleaned on a 6 monthly schedule in line with government guidelines.

“Due to the complexities of being positioned within such a unique building, we require specialist expertise and attention to detail from our chosen contractors. Over the past 12 months, we have built an excellent working relationship with Clearground and the services delivered are of a very high standard. Clearground recognises our specific needs and pro-actively offers solutions to ensure the best results.”

Our specialist drainage teams worked within the constraints of the Victorian sewer system, involving the desilting and sealing of manholes, installation of new valves to prevent flooding and the cleaning of the pump well and chamber.
