Health & Safety

Without exception the Health and Safety of all workers and employees is paramount in our Organisation. At Clearground we do not underestimate our responsibility for our own employees, our client’s employees and members of the public who are present in and around our places of work.

From day one, all of our employees undergo a continuous training regime that covers all areas of job specific and health and safety issues in the workplace. This ensures that everyone throughout Clearground fully understands their own personal responsibilities and how as a company we can work together to ensure that all present and future contracts and projects are completed in the safest and most efficient way possible. We understand that the people within Clearground are our biggest asset and as such deserve to be protected and given the best and most suitable training possible. We endeavor to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to reduce or eliminate all risks to their own personal and fellow workmates safety and welfare wherever possible.

Prior to all work being undertaken a qualified member of our management team will carry out and produce a full and relevant site specific method statement, risk assessment, COSSH assessment, manual handling assessment and where required relevant permits to work and other associated health and safety documentation. Copies of these are issued and approved by all parties prior to the commencement of operations.

To promote and develop our continued commitment to Health and Safety, Clearground are currently accredited to the following nationally recognised independent health and safety bodies: Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), Contructionline and Safecontractor Approved (formerly the National Britannia Safe Contractor Scheme). We are also registered waste carriers with the Environmental Agency and are ISO 14001 and 9001 accredited and have been for 3 years. Each of these bodies regularly carry out full detailed audits on all elements of the administration and operational side to our business and ensure that we never drop our enviable Health and Safety standards.
